HSE ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
We are looking for an experienced HSE Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management. As an HSE Specialist, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conducting risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Providing HSE training, education, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Collaborating with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning, design, and execution phases.
• Monitoring and evaluating workplace conditions, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Managing emergency response procedures, including evacuation drills, first aid training, and crisis management.
• Participating in HSE meetings, committees, and forums to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging HSE technologies and practices.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must be Immediately available and based in UAE.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
• years of experience in HSE management, preferably in a design consultancy, construction, or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards (e.g., ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001), and risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and conducting HSE audits.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for promoting a culture of safety, health, and environmental sustainability.
