Business Environment
The ORR-OST-OMS entity is in charge of delivering the Amadeus Order Management System (OrMS), a new module that will be at the heart of the new reservation suite proposed to our customers in replacement of the existing PSS.
The OrMS will help airlines to easily manage orders (their contract and reservations records) and give their customers a simple purchasing and servicing experience together with their partners. We intend to bring with this solution the following benefits to our customers:
Manage a smooth transition to the order management system gradually, without interfering with the airline’s current business. Transition to the Amadeus Order Management System will be gradual and with the airline’s preferred passenger service system.
Within the OMS department, the ORI-OMI (Order Management Istanbul) team focuses on core components and businesses. Support the department for product evolution by joining Scrum teams under Safe organization.
Purpose
Lead OMI Istanbul team of Business Analysts and Developers responsible for analyzing user needs and designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software solutions on key Order Management System components we expose to our users in a Safe virtualized team context.

Our organization also emphasizes a DevOps culture, as well as a dedicated team for architecture, solutions, and expertise support.
The usual projects include airline implementations to build jointly this new solution, product evolutions (strategic projects to keep our advance on competition), and technical improvements.
Our main challenges lie with the setting up of a completely new solution, more than recreating a new solution based on the actual one, we intend to go for a real transformation, rethinking the business as we know it today to match with current and actual needs that our customers have.

Key Accountabilities
Management and Engagement
• Manage engineers in the delivery of all committed projects on time, scope, and adhere to corporate standards and quality
• Define team objectives and translate them into individual objectives for each team member in line with organizational goals
• Evaluate team and individual performance
• Provide input for salary reviews
• Develop team(s) based on continuous assessment
• Motivate and guide individual team members to stretch and expand their capabilities (know-how, behavior, communication etc…)
• Build/manage a team fostering a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation and empowerment
• Continuously propose improvement in collaboration with Train amigos
Accountability / Business acumen
• Define and share the technical/functional team roadmap and vision according to the department/division/company objectives
• Report on team activities
• Be accountable for the performance and results of a unit within own discipline or function
• Develop plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
• Suggest alternatives/improvements / new techniques in processes, flows, operational models, and plans
• Moderate budgetary impact on business Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan; receive guidance from senior manager Functional and Technical Excellence
• Timely manage the investigation and resolution of production support issues and customer inquiries
• Collaborate with other software development, architecture, solutions, and QA teams to ensure that software systems are designed for testability, stability, scalability, and performance.
